“For Her Alliance” is a collection of female visual artists who collaborated with The Chicks to create visual representations for select songs from their latest album, ‘Gaslighter.’
Miranda Burke
Los Angeles based artist and animator, Miranda Burke, has been drawing and creating since childhood. With a background in fine arts and a passion for music and film, her work is not confined to any one medium. From 2D animation and character design to sculpting figurines, Miranda focuses on blending the absurd and the mundane to create relatable, outlandish work that resonates with life’s idiosyncrasies. Since graduating from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts with a BA in animation, she is pursuing a career in character design in the adult animation industry.
Lucy Dyson
Lucy Dyson is an artist, animator and music video director. To date, she has directed and produced over fifty music videos. In 2016 she was commissioned to create animations for Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour. Other artists she has worked with include Grammy awarded musicians Gotye and Ray LaMontange, as well as Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Courtney Barnet and many others. In the world of fashion Lucy has collaborated with Nike, Paul Smith, and Hermés. Originally from Melbourne Australia, Lucy currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
Cosima Elwes
Cosima Elwes is a visual artist studying Performance Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins in London. Her work encompasses performance as well as video art and explores topics pertaining to feminism, spirituality, nature and transcendence.
For the ‘For Her’ video, Cosima collaborated with Paloma Grim, Sam Cutbush and Milly Constanti to bring the vision to life.
Seanne Farmer
Recently, Kai Williams, Naaz Valvani, & Aracelie Colon collaborated for their own version of ‘For Her’ which was presented as part of ‘Women Take The Stage Rally’ (hyperlink:https://womentakethestage.org/) commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment.
